Get Involved

There has never been a better time to get involved with the work of the Green Party.

Any help you give us, from a regular donation to work on the doorstep, will make a real difference to getting more Greens elected so we can create a fairer, cleaner, more affordable future for everyone.

Join Us

By joining the Green Party, you automatically become a member of your local branch as well. As a member you can be as active as you like - from armchair and online support to standing as a candidate for election. You will be joining a community of people dedicated to creating social and environmental change

The easiest way to do it is online here. There are special rates for those who are unwaged, on a low income or studying.

Alternatively, you can opt to join at local level only - membership is currently free. Please note that this doesn't allow you to vote on national party business, hold one of the constitutionally required local party posts or stand in elections, but you can take part in local meetings and activities. To join locally, please contact us by email or telephone.

Meetings

The Blackpool and Fylde Green Party holds regular meetings for members, supporters and anyone interested in Green issues.

Please contact us for details of our next meeting.

Our Area

We cover all of Blackpool, Cleveleys, Lytham St Annes, Freckleton, Kirkham and Wesham and surrounding areas. Our 3 Parliamentary Constituencies are Blackpool North & Cleveleys, Blackpool South, and Fylde. We campaign on local, national and international issues and will be standing candidates in local and general elections.

Volunteer

Even if you don't want to make the commitment of joining us, we always welcome supporters and volunteers. Volunteers can help with our campaigning work. Could you help deliver leaflets to your street, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents about their concerns?

Do you have fundraising experience or web design, press, research and administrative skills?  Whatever your level of experience and however much or little time you can give, we would love to hear from you.

Contact us for more information about ways you can get involved.

Donate

The Green Party prides itself on being a bottom up organisation, everywhere seeking to make decisions at the basic level of the Party wherever possible and organising at the grass roots. We cannot build the Green Party, our votes and the spread of Green ideas without resources. Please donate here if you are able to support our campaigning in Blackpool and Fylde.

Vote for Policies

Caroline Lucas, in a letter to the Guardian, said "Out of 332,237 people surveyed in the Vote for Policies survey before the last election ... over 24% – more than any other party – chose Green policies."

Visit the website at Vote for Policies and take the 2015 survey yourself.  Compare policies from UK political parties on a range of key issues.  After you have chosen the policies you agree with, you are shown which parties they belong to.
